Is there any way to make the F1,F2... standard function keys while inside certain app

OK, so basically I want to know if there is a way to get the brightness, volume, and all the other function keys to act as standard functions while in certain apps

Push the fn button with the "F key". So, Fn+F1 will act like F1.
