You are looking for "Terminal", not "Launch Terminal" correct?

This can be resolved (and done more safely) with non-Terminal utilities. Have you tried repairing disk permissions? How much memory do you have and how much do you have running?

FYI :Blushing: I am new on forums too, so pls forgive any mistakes in this department.
Back to my problem...thanks for answering....
I am pretty good on computer, but may need a walk through to find 'repairing disk permissions' and think I have a lot of memory and all that is running is this silly disk. Sorry if I don't know as much as I should, but all help appreciated.
And yes, thank you, I am looking for terminal, not launch t. It can happen though!

You've got enough free/inactive memory so that's not the problem.

Take a look here for instructions on repairing permissions.

Thank you. have been in disc utility.
it says
'eject failed'.
disk could not be unmounted
make sure all applications and files are closed on this disk

Where do I go to make sure apps and files are closed. Thought I had done this already, but may be not.
