laggy?

how slow/laggy would tiger run on this mac (friends):

imac g4
800mhz
256 mb
60gb

so.. is it worth putting tiger on that or should we just reinstall jaguar?

well how did jag run? it will run just about the same as jag maybe a little slower i would increase the ram if possible.

Yeah, take the money you'd spend on Tiger and add memory first.

no he doesnt want to pay for ram. his mom has a fmily pack so its not a problem. just..is it worth it to run tiger or just reinstall jag?

id increase ram and go wiht Panther for a big leap, Panther ive heard and seen runs a helluva lot better then tiger on slower machines. but a clean install of jag + more ram and updates to jag, ull see a big difference. ive got 10.3.9 panther on my mac mini, unless Tiger drops im stickin with it, runs perfect!

well if his mom has it and he can install it, try it, if he doenst like it, just revert back to jag and a clean install.... whats the worst? just not like the performance?
