Hello! I am new to this site so please be kind if this is something asked before. I recently bought a Time Capsule 2TB with the assurance that all I had to do was hook it up, plug it in and follow the screen. I plugged the ethernet cable from my modem into the port, plugged it in. The indicator light blinked green for a second and then flashed amber. Please help me understand what to do. Thank you!

Look at Page 27 on http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/TimeCapsule_SetupGuide.pdf. A flashing amber means that the Time Capsule couldn't get the Internet connection up.
As suggested in that document, with the TM plugged into your modem, remove the power cable from the modem and wait for a couple of minutes and then plug the cable back in. The TM should go through it's re-initialization after the modem fully comes up..
