Update cloned hard drive

So I recently cloned my hard drive with carbon copy cloner onto an external hard drive. I just went back on to sign into an itunes account, transfer purchases from an ipad and backup and restore the ipad. Do I need to clone it again or is it automatically changed? I booted from the external hd. If I were to go back on later, would the transferred purchases still be in the itunes library? I guess since I am booting from the external drive, it basically acts as a normal drive and the backup of the ipad will now be on the external drive, right?

since you have made changes you will have to run carbon copy cloner again, it should update the clone
