Hello there,

When I bought my Macbook Pro I could listen to music using any headphones, but one day I inserted a connector which (I think) damaged the audio jack and after that any TRS connector is not recognized (I get no sound). It's like the jack is not holding the connectors tight. Only TRRS connectors are recognized troubleless.

Is there any easy way to repair it? Or is it repairable at all?

I appreciate any advice.

i had this problem before with an older macbook, it had a red light inside that would come on sometimes after unplugging headphones. not sure if the pro has the red light though, so it may be the same issue. i contacted a techie friend and he said to stick a paper clip inside, and it worked i had to wiggle it around a little to get it fixed.
