I can't see that happening since Apple appears to be dedicated to the notion that the user should be able to "reach" across the device with their thumb and I'm willing to bet that increasing the width risks this.

My thumb could still reach on a larger screen. I'm not so sure that was by design - as opposed to after the fact rationalization for marketing purposes.

BTW - does anyone else find the Samsung Galaxy commercials entertaining. Some of them are pretty good.

My thumb . . . still . . . not . . . opposed . . . .

I know you are living WAY back in the sticks now . . . Still that must have been a painful admission for you to make. ;)
Keep working on it and I'm sure you'll catch up. ;P O:)

Who knows but that seems to be the story now.

Okay, so I just watched the commercial that Apple uses to play the whole "thumb card" so to speak (video here). They say that "it's either a coincidence or common sense". Makes me think that marketing speak for "we designed it that way."

LOL - says he who lives in Arkansas where pig calling is a fanatical past time!! Does make me wonder about the brain that actually extracted that from my sentence - either pure genius or not playing with a full deck... :Angry-Tongue:

Hilarious!

The kid holding a place in line for his parents cracks me up every time.

I like the one where he goes..." they put the headphone jack on the bottom"...then acts like it's mindblowing...

There is this, but inherent in that concept is the notion that not everyone has bear paws for hands. I have what I think of as large hands, but my wife (who is rather petite) has what I think of as TINY hands.

The iPhone is a device that BOTH of us can use with one hand when needed. I'm sure some other phones would be too, but the really large, wide phones do not meet this criteria (we've checked).

It looks great to me! I couldn't believe how light it really is. Now it makes my old 4 feel like a brick.
The screen res is amazing!
