I'm not sure where you are located...but if you're in the United States...I would say that $750 for this computer is too much.

Give it a wide berth.

It is not a 2008 model but 2006 with 32bit EFI so you will not be able to install Mountain Lion on it. The Boot ROM Version starting with MP1.1 confirms it is a 2006 model. A genuine 2008 model will be MP3.1. and being 64bit Mountain Lion will install.

All I know if these dealers or who ever they are would stop bidding up stuff on eBay, we could all get a great deal. Yes the dumpster and curb are my preferred places to shop. A little on the dry side right now.

If you had a 2006 Mac Pro, the iPhone 5 represents more computing power than you had.

Think about THAT for a second ...

Anyway, since you have to make the leap, I'd tell you to pick up a new or refurb iMac (or Mac Mini if you have the monitor), pimp it out RAMwise and get by on that until the 2013 Mac Pro comes out.
