how to use back flashlight in iPhone 3G

Previously I was able to use flashlight and have it shine out of the back of the iPhone 3G. Now no matter what app I use it will only shine out of the front display.

I dont think the iphone 3g had a flash, so there is no light on that side of the phone

^^^ There is nothing on the back side of an iPhone 3G nor the 3GS that would allow a light to shine from that side.
