Hi all!

I have had this problem before, but it usually sorts itself out in a day or two ... but, my outgoing mail stopped working 5 days ago, and now it's starting to get annoying. The only way I can send emails is to go to iCloud and do it from there.

Incoming mail works just fine.

Is there anything I can try to fix it?

Thanks bunches! Jules

is it an iCloud mail account?

Well, I use Mac mail on my Mac ... Version 5.3 (1283) ... but I can also check email online with iCloud.

iCloud mail is fine ... I can send from online ... it is the mail on my Mac that's not working right.

Any ideas?

Only thing I can suggest is to check your account information in the mail app in case anything has changed.

Thank you Steve! I checked (which I had done before) and the difference is my outgoing server is

smtp.me.com:[email protected]

But is says it is Offline.

I have looked but can't find how to bring it back online?

I got it working .... I deleted the account and created a new one. Somehow it brought up the iCloud stuff, which had not been in there before ... so I'm guessing it was a burp with iCloud and my system!

Thanks bunches for your help!!
