Something I just never seemed to notice before--when MBpro is powered up or comes back from sleep, it always asks for login info, yet when I power up iMac from a shutdown, it doesn't ask for login. Only occurs when I switch user or log out. Both running Mt Lion and are less than 1 yr old. How do I ensure iMac requires a login when it comes back from being shut down and yet not require one every time it comes back from sleep, like the MPpro?

To set the login on start up, go to  > System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Options (at bottom left) and make sure Automatic login is off

To disable the login from sleep go to  > System Preferences > Security and privacy > general tab and de-select require password after sleep or screen save begins
