Having sorted my permissions problem (thanks for the input chaps), I have another issue with Adobe Reader.
Unfortunately I need access to Adobe Reader because of a number of applications i have to use are Reader based.
On one of the applications i need to check the Java settings in Preferences but when i try i get the following message:-
"This dialog sets preferences and cannot be shown while another PDF document is showing a dialog that also sets preferences. Please close that dialog and try again."
I get this message every time i try and get into the Preferences even if there is no pdf displayed.
I have reloaded Adobe Reader (10.1.4), but still the error message.
I am using Mac OS10.7.5.
Any ideas?
