Mac cleaning software

I have an imac 10.6.8 I am interested in finding an app that will clean and organize my imac. I have seen some out there but don't know which ones are good or bad. I just want to get rid of any clutter I have and also looking for malware. I don't want anything..trojans..worms etc getting into my operating system

Any body got any suggestions? I am relatively new to this stuff so I need your help

I Mac 27-inch 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 24GB ram. MacBook Pro 13-inch 2.5GHz dual-core Intel i5 16GB ram
Try OnyX for maintenance and ClamXav for virus scanning. Both are excellent programs and are free.
If you try ClamXav there is no need to run it in the background, just run a scan occasionally .

i recommended OnyX too, it's great for maintenance a Mac, and i've use for a long time.
