Router Malfunction

I am using a 2.4gHz 802.11b router. Model # BEFW11S4. I have comcast high speed internet. I normally connect the cable modem to my router and my G4 Mac recognizes the signal and I am ready to go. Yesterday the router seems to be working because the power light is on but my Mac did not recognize the signal. On the front panel of the router the only light that is illuminated is power, Act and Diag. All the rest of the lights are not illuminated. I thought maybe the signal from the cable modem is bad but I connected direct to my Mac and it's working. Kindly advise.
