Should I get a spinning beachball when I open mail.app, skype, and google chrome at the same time? I am on an early 2011 Macbook Pro 13inch i5 with 8gb of ram. By the way, my fans are running like crazy and they never do when I have these applications open?

How come my Google Chrome and Skype are using 40% of my CPU??? This has never happened before. My fans are running at full speed!

From the looks of it Chrome seems to be your culprit what happens if you use another browser in combination with Mail and Skype?

Chrome being still 32bit does not work properly in Lion or Mountain Lion. Why not use Safari which is quicker and rock steady?

I think it was flash because immediately after i installed FlashBlock on Chrome it stopped the fans. But, how come I never had this problem before? I used to surf the web with Google Chrome and be on skype and sometimes other things without the fans going.
