The best free video conversion software for files to go on iPhone

I think it sucks you cant drag videos from your desktop onto your iphone without conversion, can anyone tell me a free software that does this well..?

You can- albeit via the app page in iTunes.

There are apps (VLC, CineplayerX, AcePlayer etc) that will play pretty much any format.

Some of them have webserver access so you don't even need iTunes.

But .... as far a video conversion goes Handbrake is great but then so is Video Monkey.

Thanks guys

Handbrake seems to do the job and in record timing aswell!!
