Syncing Mac world with Windows

Having 2 different world became a hassle. We have Apple in one side and Google life on the other. My iCal works best for me and the UI doesn't drive me crazy. My Android calendar works for me as well as I have and enter everything on the go. Problem is that I can't sync them together. I have to sync Crazy Google calendar with my beautiful iCal ( step 1)- then Sync my Phone with Google Calendar ( step2).
Problem: 1-Google Calendar is not where I enter my schedule initially. I either enter them on my iCal or on my phone while on the go.
2- Google calendar has to be the initial start point and everything else get their data from Google- It is not working 2 ways ( at least not for me)
As the result, after all the syncs. I ended up having 2-3 duplicates of the same event and still has to go back to google and enter the new ones that I am adding to my phone....This kind of technology, did NOT make my life easier.
Any suggestion on how I should minimize all of these?

Is Ical syncing to iCloud as well, that might account for the duplicates

Google Calendar is a two-way service. As someone who uses Google Calendar across multiple devices, I can assure you it is.

The Android sync should be setup automatically when you configure your Google account on the device. No other steps should be necessary. I sync it myself from two different Android devices and it works without any additional configuration. If it isn't working for you, I'd suggest heading over to an Android forum (although you're welcome to try here).

iCal also has simple configuration that, out of the box, works both ways. Although you can certainly enter your data in Google Calendar and have the appointments pushed out, you should also be able to do it from iCal. Did you let iCal configure the Google account or did you put in values manually?

I don't care much about Google calendar. I'm using it just to be able to get my iCal to work.
As for working 2 ways ( phone & Google), I don;t know what I need to do to make it work both ways.
I can't remember what I did but my iCal, can import events from Google calendar , no need to enter it manually but my iCal events won't be reflected to Google Calendar, so it is one way only. am I missing something?

you need a sync tool

You don't need special software to do this. I know because I sync between each of these respective platforms.

My suggestion would be to reconfigure each device and application. Start there.

I can sync ( figured it out ) but it only works if I involve Google calendar. My phone syncs with Google and Google pushes the event to iCal. iCal events won;t reflect on Google but the other way works. My entire goal is to get away from Google calendar.
