Hi

I am brand new to macs and so far I love them. The only problem I am having is with updating a couple of apps in the apps store. They are iphoto and imovie. Whenever I click on update, I get the following message ‘You have updates for other accounts, To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it’

I have tried the instructions from apple to select purchases and install the two missing apps but there were no apps mentioned in the ‘purchases’ section. I have also tried other suggestions I have found on google,

• Re-indexing via spotlight
• Deleting the two apps and going back into purchases to install them.
• Making sure I have authorized iTunes on this Mac

None of these have worked. I still end up with a little ‘2’ over my App icon and to un updated apps!

I have only ever had one apple id so there is no chance of me having used another one.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Have you tried this?

1 - Exit iTunes and the App Store
2 - Delete /Macintosh HD/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist
3 - Reboot
4 - Open App Store
5 - Select updates. Enter iTunes username/password when prompted.
