Hi there, I am trying to update an IMac from OS X 10.5.8 using a Mac OS X Leopard DVD. When the computer restarts at the first stage of the process, the screen goes white, then black, then the restart sound, back to white screen and this repeats continuously. I have figured out how to stop it, but how to stop it happening in the first place as the upgrade is really needed! Any ideas?

Confusing.

Leopard is OS X.5 so what are you trying to install ~ Snow Leopard OS X.6 maybe? Also what are the specs of your Mac. Must be an Intel model to go higher than Leopard.
