Opening existing Apple works in iworks

Hi having problems opening existing apple works 6 stuff in to iworks - dragging the files etc on to the pages icon does not work for me - any ideas would be appreciated hunkin007

Hace you tried selecting get info on an appleworks file (right click) then select the open with option as Pages and hit the button that says Change all...

Yes I tried that but no joy - should point out that I have upgraded my machines and am now using new imac with mountain lion

Have now sorted the problem by downloading the latest update and using icloud to open and save my Apple works stuff - just persevere is my moto !!
