Delete photos iPhone 4s

How do I delete photos from my iPhone 4s?

Cannot recall how I got them on the phone.

For individual photos: open them. tap, tap on the garbage can icon.

For a bunch of photos: tap edit, select the ones you want to delete, tap delete.

BEFORE YOU DO THIS: it sounds to me like you have Photo Stream set up on your phone. You may just want to simply go to settings and turn it off on your iPhone.

By default, your devices are set to share photos with each other automatically. You can of course choose which devices receive photos from which devices. If you delete photos from the Photo Stream, you MAY be deleting them permanently (though that's unlikely), so proceed with caution.
