ImageCapture and Mountain Lion

MacBook black 2.2GHz 160GB HD 4GB RAM
My iMac with OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion doesn't even see my Samsung SCX-3405FW multifunction printer/scanner/copier/fax. The other three functions work just fine. The scanner driver is loaded -- and has been reloaded -- properly, according to Samsung, but IC refuses to recognize its existence. Is there any way to make this work?
