Address Book groups not working

I have groups set up in Address Book. I've always been able to go to the group and then search within it. Now for some reason, all my groups have check marks next to them and when I try to select one on either my iPad or iPhone the check mark deselects but I don't get to see my contacts in that group. Has anyone else seen this happen?
