enter key not working

My enter key has quit working under OS X Lion, I know that the key is not broken physically, as under some apps it causes the computer to make a chirping noise. I have tried deleting the keyboard plist file and rebooting, as well as reseting all keyboard shortcuts. What's going on here?

update: when i use the keyboard viewer, it thinks I am hitting f13 when I hit enter

never mind, It wasn't software related after all, it must have gotten wet or something, I blew it out and it started working again.
