I want to set the password protect on my screensaver. If I do so, is it the same as my log-in pw? i.e., the one I'm asked for when installing or changing Applications, etc.? I don't see any option to invent a PW for this function which makes me think this is the case, however,
I want to be sure before I do so and then spend hours trying to figure out which password to use.
I'm 5k miles from my usual Genius Bar and do not speak the language here. I want the MBP to become a doorstop should it be stolen.
Thanks.

The password setup for the screensaver is the same as your login admin password. Be sure you have created a strong one and not something that someone else can guess.
