I do some editing, at a very basic level. I use iMovies and I noticed Motion 5, will this work on iMovies or is it just for Final Cut Pro?

Motion is a standalone program that will allow you to add special effects to a video clip. When finished with any given clip, you can export it as a quicktime file that can obviously be imported into iMovie.
