A friend has recently bought an ex-display iMac G5 from John Lewis (UK) and it seems they have disabled the sound output device. I have had a look in the system profiler and there is no audio device present, and in system preferences under 'sound' there is no output device. It is running 10.3.9 (but should have had Tiger on it, another story).
Can anyone shed any light on how to enable the sound output device?
