Hi everyone,

I hope I am in the right section to post this question.

So here it is... I am using excel 2008 on Mac in order to create a database and I want to incorporate some drop down lists for which I type each of the possible entries without referring to any source cell.

I go to the "data" tab, open "validation" and select "list". In the source cell, let's say I type: A;B;C;D etc... then I confirm and the drop down list works great!

But then I save and close my file, and when I re-open it all the semicolons have been changed to comas which messes up the drop down list.

I joined some screen shots in attachment to make it clearer in case I couldn't express myself well:

If someone knows the solution to this problem I would be so glad to hear it.

Thanks for your help
