Hi everyone,
My wife and I are buying our first 'family' computer. We both have MacBooks that we had before we were married, and are finally at a place to get a new iMac to use at home. We both have significant iTunes music collections and are wondering what the different options are for setting up a home computer together. We both have iPhones and I have an iPad, so we want to make sure we do this right and aren't dealing with the backlash of a bad decision every time we update/change/buy something...
1. Can we/Should we merge our iTunes libraries into one account? What does this mean for our separate iPhones? Can she keep her apps/music separate from mine (and vice versa) or will we both have to forever delete music/apps that we don't want off our phones?
2. Should we keep our accounts separate and just continue to buy/share music and apps the same way we do now? What does this mean for the use of the new iMac at home? Will we have to keep signing in and out of iTunes? Is this problem solved by having separate user accounts?
I apologize if this is a super easy fix and I'm just exposing my ignorance.
Thanks in advance!
Baxter
