headphones - no stereo

Recently i bought a ttr headphone. Now i plugged it in to my mac computer but the stereo didn't work. only when i turn the cable a litle bit in my headphone. When i plug it in to an other mac it works perfectly. So i think there's a problem with my mac configurations. Do you know wich setting could be wrong?

There is no setting that will cause any affect similar to what you are describing.

That would be an issue of the connection or the cable itself.
More often than not, it's the cable.


Although sounds to me like the actual connector or possibly dust in your headphone jack and turning it around cleaned some of the dust off it. Try taking a can of compressed air and shoot a couple of quick bursts in there or maybe swab a q-tip around in it.
