Hey guys,

I've been given a 1.6 G5 Powermac which is in great condition, but missing the external Aiport aerial [where do I get one from?!?!] and has issues with retrieving images from both of my cameras [Canon 400D and Olympus Mju compact].

I've read into it over a good few forums, but can't seem to find a definitive answer?

Neither iPhoto nor image capture will recognise the camera once plugged into any of the usb ports. All ports work just fine as are picking up keyboard/mouse.

Weird one and frankly ridiculous? Someone must've come across this in the past I'm guessing?! :Smirk:

Cheers in advance fellas!

Si.

A lot of people have and the easiest way is to get a card reader to use rather than connecting your camera direct to the computer.

Pretty sure anyone that uses a camera has run into the same issue. Don't think I've ever tried plugging my camera back into a computer after the first time it happened to me.

I buy those multi-card readers 3-4 at a time from Amazon. Small, portable, and much easier to carry in your camera bag than the cable.

Canon EOS

I've got a 10D and 300D, both work fine on USB to my G5 (single 1.8). Have you tried installing the Canon EOS software?
