cd-dvd door

I can't get the cd-dvd door to open and the tray will not come out. I need to put the disk to install the rest of the "clean install" process. Any help will be appreciated.

Especially if the "door" on the drive you're trying to get open happens to be a slot loading optical drive. (There is no door.) Model and year of your Mac as member Stretch stated is what we need first.
