I just read about the backdoor.flashback trojan that was and may still be going around on macs. I was reading about how it came in through Java earlier this year. My question is, are macs running mountain lion still susceptible to this? I got my mac back in july of this year with lion on it not mountain lion so I was wondering if I could possibly be affected by this? Thanks.

No, Apple patched the issue and it is only a threat to those who have not updated their software, I believe it's fixed completely in Mountain Lion.
