Alright, I bought my Macbook a few months ago secondhand.
From the beginning I noticed an odd quirk about my new Macintosh; it wouldn't let me drag anything to the trash; if I did so, it would only allow me to delete an item immediately.
It didn't really bother me, so I ignored it. Today, I backed everything up to Time Machine, and I deleted a folder that held well over 100 GB of material.
To my surprise, it seemingly was deleted; however, my Mac is still showing only 40 GB left, as before.
What has happened? I'm totally confused, and I've been using a Mac for years now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this problem?
It's a 13-inch early 2011 Macbook Pro, if that makes any difference.
