Just bought a new Imac and i need to know the best way to transfer files from my PC to my Mac.

Download the free Windows Migration Assistant from Apple. Read the directions carefully before you use it. And make sure you understand where all your Windows files will go when placed on your new Mac. Here is the LINK to the download.

If you don't wish to use the Migration Assistant, you can always transfer what files that are transferrable using a USB external drive or flash drive. However, you need to be aware that when you copy files from a Windows computer that is formatted to NTFS to a Mac that you may run into permission problems as NTFS is read only to a Mac.

Thanks, I read about the Migration assistant last week so I downloaded it to the PC but; I was afraid to use it. I will read it in deatil tonight. Thanks for the reply, Mike
