Snow Leopard Server Question

Hi, i am new to the Mac OSX Server Operating system, i am using Snow Leopard ( will be upgrading to mountain lion pretty soon) anyway, I run a classroom full of imacs. I want each user to have their own Username and Password and their own Personal Folder to put their stuff in it. How would i go about doing this. As being on windows server i can assign a "personal" drive in the settings to each user.
