I have a lab of Mac OS 10.6.8 computers that need to access a Windows 2003 server running Active directory for logins to the server. Students can login to the server but receive a com.apple.desktopservices error when trying to place files in their folder on the server. Are there other permissions that need changing to allow this?

I'm not entirely positive but I believe that MS Exchange Server 2003 is not supported. That's a rather old version of server your office is running. The Macs should have no problem connection to Server version 2007 and later.
