I recently acquired a perfectly working eMac (yes I know it's old, please be nice lol)

It's osX 10.2.4 and 700mhz.

I installed FireFox 2x and web surfing is horrible. Firefox 3x won't install. It also appears Apple stopped supporting it (I'm pretty sure it's a 2003 model)

I'm sure Thunderbird will work great for email, haven't tried though..

I would like to just use it for web and email... Is there anyway I can do this?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Your eMac made its debut ten years ago in 2002 so do not expect too much of it running modern software. One thing you can do is upgrade the operating system to Tiger OS X.4, the final system the eMac can use. Make sure if you go nthat way you purchase the full retail install DVD/CDs which are black and not silver grey model specific discs unless they are for your eMac model.
