• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hello
First of all i will say i have read here and all over the web about exporting/sharing i movie projects and i have tried all types of movie qualities- still i cant seem to get the same qualiity i see in the imovie edit window -in the final movie - tried everything from H.264-/DV-Avi/etc.
i am using my fairly new macbook pro 2.2 i7 4GB ram
the movie source is a good quality mp4 - looks good and smooth- even when i edit - still looks good in imovie- BUT- when i try to export- it seems smeared and not like the original-again- i tried all best settings options to export using quicktime but no luck!
please help- i just want to keep the original quality!
