rosetta

hello



on my sytem there is OS 10.6.8 but the apple shop forgot to install " rosetta "
i got the disk mac OS Snow leopard v 10.6.3
and i don't see " rosetta on it " , simply optional packages !!

Rosetta is not something you "see" - it runs in the background. It will also be installed when it needs to be. Thus, if you don't have it installed, it will install itself when you try to run a PowerPC application.

i do not understand i have an old software witch does not work under 10.6.8
but was functionning ok with 10.5.8
the company told me you probably need to install " rosetta "

in the apple shop where they installed 10.6.8 .
they told me if you get the disk snow leopard " rosetta " will be on it , so install it

what contain this Optional package , i have no informations .

What happens when you try and run the old apps, do you get the option to download Rosetta?

As I said, you'll be prompted to install Rosetta when you need it. Thus, the first time you try to run a PowerPC application, OS X will detect this and ask you if you want to install Rosetta. What are you trying to run?

Google the programs as some have been updated for SL or weren't updated and just won't run on SL..

hello

i'm trying to run " procreate appl v 2.0 "
i got a message saying can't open the file painter settings
no the system does not ask me to run rosetta .

i simply had the support who said to me run rosetta !

That might be because it's for Ipad... A look at Procreate, a new painting app for the iPad | iPhone, iPad and iPod fingerpainting blog

Even though they are made by the same company, iOS and OS X are two different operating systems that aren't compatible with each other on a program level. If you want to run Procreate on your Mac, you'll need to buy a Mac version (if available).

but " rosetta is not installed " how i schould proced to have it installed
separatly .
