Safari 6.0 not compatible with Yahoo?

I'm working on a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.7.4 and Safari 6.0 and all of a sudden I cannot attach files to my outgoing emails any longer, nor can I write emails in the Rich Text option. I think it happened after I did my software updates. Yahoo is probably not compatible with Safari 6.0. Is it possible to go back to a more previous version of Safari once one has updated it or not? Does anyone else, who is using Safari 6.0, have the same problem?
Thanks

What does Safari have to do with your outgoing mail? When you installed updates, you probably also updated Mac Mail which is now at version 6.0. Check your mail preferences to see if anything has changed. It should still work as before with Yahoo. Safari is a browser not a mail application.

They maybe using Yahoo Mail on the WEB. Many do and the free Yahoo has no POP so you have to use it in Safari or another browser.

I went there in Safari 6 just now and checked my email, sent a message to my other account and attached a file. It All worked.

Yikes... I didn't know Yahoo did away with their free pop mail. I remember being able to use it in Windows some years back. Assumed it was still free. I guess they're ain't no such thing as a free lunch from Yahoo. ;)

Thanks Dennis.

Things are working now. It was a Yahoo problem. I actually got tech help from Yahoo.
The reason the email options acted up strangely was because I did not accept the new Yahoo upgrade ( the one that scans every word in your incoming and outgoing emails so that they can send you advertisements based on what you write in your emails). Now I finally accepted this upgrade and everything works fine. I guess that's their way of forcing you to the new terms. We have no choice and no privacy! Thanks for all your responses!

I wonder if that is my friends issue. I fixed and de-Virused his Windows system and over here it was fast on everything, and every site I went to but he is a Yahoo fanatic and uses the WEB interface for his Yahoo Mail. It's lagging bad with spinning busy windows thing all the time. Does it on no other site and not on the main Yahoo site.
