How to upgrade from OSX10.5.8

I am not tec savvy, but my faithful Mac tells me that I need to upgrade from my trouble free OSX10.5.8. What do I need to do?

First you need to tell us exactly what model Mac you have (including it's cpu speed).

Your Mac is capable of running any of the latest OS versions. Probably your easiest and cheapest route is to see if your local Apple Store will install Mountain Lion for you. It's $19 but only available as a download from the Mac App Store.
The second easiest solution is to call Apple Online Store as they have recently been selling Snow Leopard DVDs for $19 USD. Once you install that you could choose to upgrade to Moutain Lion later if you wished.

You might be out of luck with Snow Leopard from Apple. It disappeared from the online store about a month ago.
