I just upgraded to Mountain Lion. Microtek does not offer a Mountain Lion-compatible driver for ScanMaker 9800XL. Tried latest version of SilverFast (8), but it wouldn't work with Mountain Lion either. Scanner hardware still good. Any suggestions?

ScanMaker 9800XL and Mountain Lion
Go to Microtek, download ScanPotter 1.07 (Build 046), it's compatible with ScanMaker 9800XL and OSX 10.7 Lion-10.8 Mountain Lion.

It's not the same ScanWizard Pro software that used to work on my non-Intel PowerPC G5 Tower running OSX 10.5 Leopard, but at least it enables me to use the 9800XL with my late 2011 17" MacBookPro and 10.8.2 ML.
