i have a question that is driving me crazy
i bought mountain lion from my mac store, when installing does it format my mac?​

It does not. It is a very smooth upgrade that installs on top of lion. I upgraded both my MBP and my MacMini with no issue. it took no more than 15 minutes each on them.
