Switching Parallels 7 from laptop to desktop

I am currently downloading Parallels 7 to my older MacBook Pro. I would like to place/switch Parallels and Windows to my desktop IMac.

How can I do this...?

I wouldn't try to move or switch it over since the hardware is different and also because Parallels is activated by a serial number (license).

It safer to install Parallels on the iMac and create a new virtual machine for Windows. Also keep in mind that Windows will have to be activated again because of the iMac hardware.
