Lacie HDD not detected mac OSX 10.8

Hi all,


I had a working LaCie 500G firewire external HDD 2008. Since upgraded my imac OS from 10.7 to 10.8, the HDD cannot be detected.

I tried Disk Utility but nothing show up for that HDD. I also tried unplugging all cables and plugging them in again.

Then I tried it on Windows 7 PC and the HDD is working fine. Therefore I do not think it is neither a HDD failure nor the cable failed.

Does anyone is having this issue?
