Anyone here have either? I'm looking at the FS since I think plugging it into the Ethernet port on my iMac would probably be better than FW 800 or USB 2 from a reliability and speed perspective.

I'm also looking for any inputs on ease of use and reliability. Not going to do a RAID yet, but I may go that way later on. I know the expandability of these things is pretty great so is nice as well.

Any comments are appreciated.

Baggss you say you are not going to do a RAID yet but in essence you are with a Drobo FS or S.

They are a "proprietary" form of RAID, meaning only Drobo units can read the Hard Drives.
That is why I am not considering purchasing a Drobo unit.

I can do RAID, or I can simply have 5 independent drives in the array acting much as they would in any other box.
