MacBook Pro graphic card issue

I have MacBook Pro, late 2008 version, with it i got nVidia Geforce 9600M GT-256 mb and 2gb ram, i was seing on some sites that if i upgrade to 8gb ram my graph card will also upgrade on 512mb, if not i was wondering why does on all sites says that 9600m has 512 mb of vram?

Upgrading the ram on your computer has nothing to do with how much video ram (vram) the 9600m graphics card has. If your 9600m graphic card currently has 256meg of vram...then that is all it will ever have (it is not upgradeable) or changeable.

The 9600M could be ordered with either 256 or 512MB of VRAM. So yours will be what it was ordered with period and as Nick says nothing will change that now.
