IMAC won't boot - shows green squares on screen.

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help with my Imac problem.

Imac 24
Late 2006 model with nVidia GeForce 7300GT
Intel duo core 2.2Mhz
2gb RAM 250gb hdd
Windows 7 and Snow Leopard


When powering on all I get is green blocks on the screen. OSX or Windows will not boot up.

Looks like a hardware failure to me. Bad graphics card, maybe just a faulty cable. You'd have to have an expert look at it.

Are there any diagnostic tests I can do before going to an expert?

The Apple Hardware Test.
