I am working with a MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.8) for the first time, and am trying to use the Boot Camp Assistant to Download Windows support software. It acts like it is trying, but then eventually comes up with a message: Download could not continue: The Windows support software is not available.

Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this so I can install Windows 7 on the Mac?

I have a Windows program that will not work well with Wine, or I would use that. I know from other users that they have gotten the program to work on their Mac with Boot Camp as well as Parallels.

There is no downloadable Windows support software for your MBP. Use your Snow Leopard install DVD to install drivers once Windows has been installed. Afterward from Windows, open the Boot Camp control panel item and run software update.
